The Pokagon club is based in Angola and includes all of Steuben County. This active club hosts a golf outing each year, along with an annual picnic and other activities. They are one of the larger groups bringing children to the Shrine Circus. The club is proud of the Pokagon Princess and has been active in getting the Princess into the Shrine and other local parades. This club is also the home club of many Past Potentates.

Cameron Memorial Community Hospital had its roots in two Angola hospitals. Cameron Memorial Hospital was founded in 1926 by Dr. Don F. Cameron. Elmhurst Hospital was established by Dr. Lester L. Eberhart in 1945. In 1972 the two hospitals were merged as one hospital, with the combined facility located at its present site at 416 East Maumee Street in Angola, Indiana. Cameron Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access general community hospital. It is not governmental, and there is no tax support. Cameron is a not-for-profit facility.

Our community continues to grow. Several of our downtown business have recently finished second and in some cases third floor renovations to allow for more downtown housing. Our thriving downtown is home to antique stores, excellent local eateries, fun events and unique gift shops you won?t find anywhere else. Another new housing addition is in the beginning stages of being developed on the north end of town and a few new multi-family housing units have recently been constructed. Our utility departments have done a great job forecasting growth and have planned well for upcoming underground infrastructure projects while continuing to maintain our high standard of water and sewer services. Our Police and Fire Departments are a great team and despite being very busy, respond quickly to calls and do a tremendous job keeping our community safe. Our Park?s Department continues to add new events each year and do a great job maintaining our beautiful parks and trails for our local residents and visitors.
