3/5/2025 -4/7/2025 | Arts Alive presents: "Sunrise, Sunset" Gallery Show The Tibbits Art Gallery is located on the lower level of the Tibbits Opera House and is open one hour prior to events and by appointment Monday-Friday 9am-5pm by calling (517) 278-6029. Art Gallery exhibits are coordinated by Arts Alive, an organization that hosts gallery exhibitions. While visiting the theatre, patrons have the opportunity to select their favorite piece during each exhibition. A People’s Choice Award is given to the top 3 artists from each exhibit. 3/13/2025 | The Steuben Arts Scene Brown Bag Sessions The Steuben Arts Scene is announcing a new series of art presentations called Brown Bag Sessions. These free events are an opportunity to meet people and learn more about art. Attendees should bring their 'Brown Bag' lunch to the Steuben Arts Scene Art Room and mingle from 11:30am - Noon. Guest speakers will resent a topic of interest from 12:00pm -1:00pm. Complimentary coffee, tea, water, and cookies will be available. This will be a very rewarding opportunity to learn and to meet other art aficionados. The first in the series will be held on March 13th and features local artist and collector, Doug Runyan. Doug will speak about the beginning years of the art colony in Brown County, Indiana, and the artist Charles W Dahlgreen. Dahlgreen was a painter and etcher who led an interesting life. Attendees will have the opportunity to view an original painting and etchings by Dahlgreen as well as digital images of his work.
