St. Martin's Healthcare 19th Annual Tammy's Tea

Join us for our 19th Annual Tammy's Tea! 

This fundraising event is a heartwarming and elegant gathering dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of the community. This cherished annual event brings together friends, families, and supporters for an afternoon of tea, delightful desserts, and inspiring conversations. The event honors St. Martin's previous Exectuive Director, Tammy, whose legacy continues to fuel the mission of providing compassionate healthcare services to those in need.

Funds raised during Tammy’s Tea will directly benefit St. Martin’s Healthcare programs, helping provide essential care, services, and support to underserved populations. This celebration of kindness, generosity, and community spirit is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while enjoying an afternoon of elegance and camaraderie.

Arts Alive presents: "Sunrise, Sunset" Gallery Show

Arts Alive is pleased to announce their gallery show, “Sunrise, Sunset.” 

The Tibbits Art Gallery is located on the lower level of the Tibbits Opera House and is open one hour prior to events and by appointment Monday-Friday 9am-5pm by calling (517) 278-6029.  Art Gallery exhibits are coordinated by Arts Alive, an organization that hosts gallery exhibitions. While visiting the theatre, patrons have the opportunity to select their favorite piece during each exhibition. A People’s Choice Award is given to the top 3 artists from each exhibit. Artists are also able to sell their work with a small commission going to Arts Alive.

Quincy Drama Society Presents: Disney's Newsies

Disney's Newsies, a 1992 film turned 2011 Broadway Musical, is based on true events from New York City Newsies strike of 1899 when a group of gritty, rag tag children found power in unity and stood up to the media moguls of the era, transforming child labor laws and empowering workers of all ages and circumstances to better their working conditions. Our Quincy Drama Society's Newsies is a song and dance extravaganza through the streets of New York, a story of chosen family, of finding your voice, of being stronger in community and of creating unlikely connections with people who change your life and your perspective. Come celebrate the joy of overcoming with our cast and crew of almost 50 modern day kids as they bring history to life on the stage at Tibbits Opera House!

Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony - Lakeland Rehab & Wellness Center


The Angola Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to invite you to the Ribbon Cutting & Open House for Lakeland Rehab & Healthcare Center's renovated facility and meet their newest team member Robin the Robot!

This special event will take place on Tuesday, March 11th,from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 pm with the ribbon-cutting ceremony starting at 5:00 p.m., at their location:

The Steuben Arts Scene Brown Bag Sessions

The Steuben Arts Scene is announcing a new series of art presentations called Brown Bag Sessions. These free events are an opportunity to meet people and learn more about art. Attendees should bring their 'Brown Bag' lunch to the Steuben Arts Scene Art Room and mingle from 11:30am - Noon. Guest speakers will resent a topic of interest from 12:00pm -1:00pm. Complimentary coffee, tea, water, and cookies will be available. This will be a very rewarding opportunity to learn and to meet other art aficionados. 

The first in the series will be held on March 13th and features local artist and collector, Doug Runyan. Doug will speak about the beginning years of the art colony in Brown County, Indiana, and the artist Charles W Dahlgreen. Dahlgreen was a painter and etcher who led an interesting life. Attendees will have the opportunity to view an original painting and etchings by Dahlgreen as well as digital images of his work. 

We think you will find these sessions interesting as well as enlightening. Please join us, no registration required.

Chamber members can purchase a boxed lunch for $17.50 or a gluten-free option for $18.50, while non-members can purchase for $22.50. Lunch selections can be made during registration.

When ordering a lunch package, please specify your sandwich choice: Beef, Chicken Salad, Turkey, Ham, Vegan, or Vegetarian. All options are available gluten-free upon request.
