The Steuben Arts Scene is announcing a new series of art presentations called Brown Bag Sessions. These free events are an opportunity to meet people and learn more about art. Attendees should bring their 'Brown Bag' lunch to the Steuben Arts Scene Art Room and mingle from 11:30am - Noon. Guest speakers will resent a topic of interest from 12:00pm -1:00pm. Complimentary coffee, tea, water, and cookies will be available. This will be a very rewarding opportunity to learn and to meet other art aficionados.
The first in the series will be held on March 13th and features local artist and collector, Doug Runyan. Doug will speak about the beginning years of the art colony in Brown County, Indiana, and the artist Charles W Dahlgreen. Dahlgreen was a painter and etcher who led an interesting life. Attendees will have the opportunity to view an original painting and etchings by Dahlgreen as well as digital images of his work.
We think you will find these sessions interesting as well as enlightening. Please join us, no registration required.
