Community Lunch and Learn Event: MSD News and Info

Event Description
Join us on Wednesday, November 3rd at the Brokaw Movie Theater for an introduction and welcome to the MSD of Steuben County's new Superintendent, as well as to learn the initiatives and programs they have planned for MSD and learn how they will be pro-active and present in the community.

Dr. Widenhoefer's Bio:
Dr. Widenhoefer is a graduate of Indiana-Purdue University of Fort Wayne, where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education.  He earned his Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Indiana State University. Dr. Widenhoefer began his educational career as an elementary and middle school teacher.  He then transitioned into administrative roles at the elementary, middle, and high school levels for seventeen years before becoming Superintendent of MSD of Steuben County Schools. In 2010, Dr. Widenhoefer was the recipient of Indiana’s Department of Education’s “Fastest Turn-Around” school for quickest academic growth. In 2017, he was awarded Indiana Association of School Principal’s award for Principal of the Year, where he represented District 3 Middle School Principals.  
 
Dr. Relue's Bio:
Dr. Schauna Relue earned her Bachelor’s and Doctoral degrees from Purdue University, West Lafayette, and her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana Wesleyan University. 
Dr. Relue taught secondary English and served as a high school administrator before becoming the principal at Bunche Montessori School in Fort Wayne. Dr. Relue went on to serve as the Director of Curriculum Services for Fort Wayne Community Schools and for the Indiana Department of Education. She spent several years working as a consultant in take-over and turn-around schools as well as supporting the curriculum, instruction, assessment, reading, and math initiatives for several districts. Dr. Relue was recognized as the Outstanding Educator by Indiana Wesleyan University and by the Indiana Principal Leadership Academy where she served as President of the organization as well as a principal coach. Dr. Relue has recently settled in her new home on Hamilton Lake with her husband, while their four children attend college.

When registering for a lunch package, please indicate what type of lunch you would like: Chicken Salad Sandwich, Turkey Sandwich, Veggie Wrap, or a Chef's Salad.
