About Ken Shelton Steuben County Commissioner - Middle District
Dear Steuben County Friends,
Today, I officially filed paperwork as a candidate for Steuben County Commissioner-Middle District. After serving you for the past six years as a Steuben County Council Member, I feel that I have a solid foundation to build upon and step up to the Commissioner’s position.
This decision to run was not one that was made quickly or is taken without much prayer and soul-searching. I am a lifelong resident of Steuben County. Born and raised here, I raised my family here, and have chosen Steuben County as my long-term career destination. It is my humble desire to continue to serve the residents of our County in even bigger and better ways as my desire is to see our county continue to grow and to take Steuben County forward together.
I believe that Steuben County has many resources that need to be cultivated and utilized to enhance our current economic development needs. We must find a way to assist our families by offering better affordable housing and affordable daycare. We must work together as a team by collaborating with the vast resources available to us.
My wife, Karen, and I are very active and visible in our community and we are both committing our time and energy into this effort. We must TAKE STEUBEN FORWARD – and in order to do this – IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE IN LEADERSHIP. We are up to the challenge. We humbly ask for your support and for your vote on May 5, 2020.
